Community Garden

The Community Garden is a place where many volunteers helped plant a plot of land and grow a large variety of vegetables or fruits. It is a great project that can further bring  the community  together and help improve it. The process of making a plot of land into food takes lot of time and effort. First is to test the soil to see if there are little or no contamination, so that people will not become sick overtime when eating the produce. University such as Mercer can help check it.
The produce can be sold for income or can be given to soup kitchen that feed the homeless. This can all be achieve by establishing a Fresh Market. In addition, the community can bridge the people of low income and high income to achieve a greater good. The community garden can help make a sustainable environment where it many benefits such acting filters for pollution of air and water. Lastly, as the number of volunteer increase, there might be chance to attract people to learn more about health food and lifestyle and awareness of environmental sustainability.
